History

Dimond & Shannon Mortuary was established in the 1940s as the Honold Brothers' Mortuary by Ben Honold, who later left it to his son George.

In the 1960s the business became Mettler Family Mortuary. The mortuary was located in the downtown area until 1979 when the city took the property for redevelopment, then the Dimond & Shannon Mortuary moved to its current location on Chapman Avenue.

Dimond & Shannon Mortuary came under the ownership of the Dimond Family under the direction of Don Dimond. In the late 2000s, Dimond & Shannon became part of the Dignity Memorial® network.
